Born in Wisconsin and raised in Champaign, Illinois, Rick Wedig has a strong community affiliation.  Rick attended local schools and enlisted in the Air Force at age 19.  In the Air Force he was a Financial Analyst, and was deployed in 1992 to serve in Operation Desert Storm working as the Assistant Director of Postal Operations.  In 1994 Rick retired from the U.S. Air Force.  After retirement, Rick worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier in Urbana for 5 years before beginning as a licensed realtor with RE/MAX Realty Associates in 2000.
